The Chef
Executive Chef Fung has worked in Shanghai and Hong Kong honing his craft in the Shanghai cuisine. Raised in a family of chefs and working in restaurants througout Shanghai, Japan and Hong Kong, Chef Fung has gathered over 30 years of professional hospitality and culinary experience. In 1997 Chef Fung brought all his experiences from Shanghai to Toronto and opened up the very first ALA Kitchen, serving Markham and GTA authentic Shanghainese food ever since. He's appeared on television and radio cooking shows and had his recipes published in magazines. If you truely want a taste of Shanghai, ALA Kitchen is where you'll find it.
去過上海的都知道,上海人很愛吃。在上海那一條街都有琳瑯滿目,各色各樣的飯店,所以上海菜對廚藝的要求也相對上更加嚴格。上海菜以燒、蒸、煨、窩、炒并重。我們的主廚生於廚藝世家,有三十多年主理上海菜的經驗。1997年來多倫多後一直致力把推廣正宗傳統的上海菜,曾於數年間於電台雜誌分享他對做上海菜的心得。到近年亦不斷創新,希望能令更多海外的年輕人能夠品嘗到上海獨有的風味和菜式。
